Here goes...

Well, I guess I have to start somewhere!

Here's a little background on our little (expanding) family for those who may not know the details: Sean and I have been together for 8 years now and going strong! We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary (and Sean's 26th bday) this past June which is amazing and mind boggling! Six years has gone by so fast but we couldn't be happier :) The little love of our lives, Sophia, is quickly approaching 3 1/2 years old (going on 13 scarily enough!) and is soon going to be a big sister to sweet little Lillian (Lily) who is due this November!

We've lived in Arkansas for the last 6 years, thanks to the United States Air Force, and it has been an awesome experience. We have truly made this place our home with wonderful friends surrounding us. They have become our family and I'm proud to say I have some friends for life here. Life as a military family can be extremely challenging but is also unique and rewarding in many ways. We've been through 3 deployments (1 while I was pregnant with Sophia, and 2 more since then) to Kuwait and Iraq since we've been here. I am constantly thankful for the many blessings we have.

This has been a chaotic year in a lot of ways for us, but they say change is good so I'm going to try to keep that in mind. Sean returned from a 4 month deployment to Balad (Iraq) in February. Sophia and I were just itching to have him back after missing all those critical holidays with him. Shortly after (you do the math...haha) I found out I was pregnant! I guess we shouldn't have been shocked but... we were. Haha. We are so excited and cannot wait to meet our sweet little Lily girl in a matter of weeks. I finally FINALLY graduated from college (UCA) in May of this year and got my bachelors of science in education. One of these days when things settle down I will finally be a secondary level Social Studies teacher!!! Hooray! Then, this summer, a week or so before we were off on our yearly vacation to see our family and friends in the Bay Area, we found out we had orders to move to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. Needless to say I was shocked and cried my face off for a good day or so. I think we've gotten so comfortable here that we sort of thought we'd be here forever... or at least that we wouldn't be leaving in a few short months (did I mention I'm pregnant!!!????!!!). Our trip to California was amazing and I think because we knew we'd be leaving for Germany for 4 years we really made the most of our time with our loved ones. I'm now trying to do the same thing with my loved ones here in Arkansas in the next few weeks before we head off for the next chapter in our lives...
